Getting Married Under Mt. Sopris

An intimate wedding at close friend's massive log cabin. Amanda and Todd were married outside of Aspen, Colorado with Mt. Sopris smiling down on their ceremony.

The Brass on Baltimore Summer Wedding

Austin and Roxie got married early in the summer at The Brass on Baltimore in downtown Kansas City. It was our first time photographing there and are so excited to shoot there again! The rooftop views were incredible and it's right in the heart of downtown, so we were able to shoot at The Kauffman Center and get some great photos of the Kansas City skyline. Congratulations Austin and Roxie!

Spring Wedding at The Guild

Spring is officially here in Kansas City and wedding season is starting to pick up! In early March, Pete and Susannah had their wedding at the Guild in the Crossroads District of Kansas City. We've shot several times at the Guild and it's one of our favorite venues in town. So many of Pete and Susannah's friends and family were at their wedding but it still managed to feel intimate throughout the day.

Below are some of our favorite images from the day.

Kindling's 2016 Year in Review

2016 was packed. We were fortunate to be a part of so many weddings & engagement sessions all over the US (and even Mexico!). It was our busiest year since we've started documenting weddings and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who included us in their day.

We grew a lot this year and we're really proud of the work we did, so we made this ridiculously long blog post to share some of the highlights from the year. We're really excited for you to see these images.

Here's to more weddings and amazing couples in the future!

Autumn Wedding in the Heart of St. Louis, Missouri

Emily and Danny had such a fun group of friends and family around them for their wedding day. The ceremony was at the gorgeous and ornate Memorial Presbyterian across from Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. Their reception was at North 13th Events. It was decked out with tons of warmth and light. Ferns strung over the white brick walls and hundreds of candles created a beautiful and intimate atmosphere.

Stormy Engagement Photos | Kansas City, Missouri

Bryan and Jillian met us for engagement photos last week and right as they pulled in, it started to rain. So naturally we went into the woods, had a beer under a canopy of trees and an umbrella and waited for the storm to pass. The rain held off for a while and made for an incredible sunset as we finished up the photos. We can't wait for their wedding next May!

An Intimate, Woodsy Wedding | Springfield, Missouri

Adam and Diana wanted a small, intimate wedding with their families and close friends and their wedding was just that. They woke up early, watched the sunrise and had breakfast at Blackberry Creek where they would later get married on the back deck at sunset. Everything was so low-key and relaxed we felt more like guests than photographers.

A Golden, Shawnee Mission Park Engagement Session

Kristin and Michael's wedding is in less than a week and we couldn't be more excited. A while back we got hang out with them at Shawnee Mission Park, in Shawnee, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City. We love this park. We've shot a couple engagement session and a wedding here and have only scratched the surface of all the beautiful spots it has to offer.
